IRS Issues Draft Schedule H, Instructions for Exempt Hospitals


Beginning with the 2011 tax year, Form 990, Schedule H, Part V, Section B (“Part V.B.”) is no longer optional, with the exception of lines 1-7.  In IRS Notice 2012-4, released December 15, 2011, the IRS explained that the questions on Part V.B, which had been optional in 2010 so that the hospital community could familiarize itself with the types of information that the IRS would be seeking in the future, would now be required.[Read More]
