Laws expanding premerger visibility into healthcare deals, requiring greater ownership and affiliation transparency, restricting private equity involvement in clinical enterprises, recalibrating certificate of need frameworks and limiting post-employment noncompete agreements for physicians and other clinicians are proliferating at the state level.
