[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>Tracy Gallegos, a corporate partner in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.duanemorris.com\/offices\/lasvegas.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Las Vegas office<\/a> of the Duane Morris law firm, said many of her clients entered the regulated industry with high aspirations, but naivet\u00e9 and poor, early business decisions compounded problems. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo they\u2019ve all fallen behind on their taxes, because they weren\u2019t prepared,\u201d said Gallegos, who co-leads the firm\u2019s cannabis group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey weren\u2019t expecting these particular costs of licensing, compliance and taxation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s concerned that ramped-up enforcement efforts, such as the recent raid of a well-known, licensed Los Angeles marijuana retailer, will have an adverse effect on compliance and collections.
