{"id":199,"date":"2017-12-13T21:29:05","date_gmt":"2017-12-14T01:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/cannabis\/?p=199"},"modified":"2017-12-13T21:29:05","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T01:29:05","slug":"california-online-licensing-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/cannabis\/2017\/12\/13\/california-online-licensing-system\/","title":{"rendered":"California&#8217;s Online Licensing System is Now Active"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>California took the next big step in\u00a0establishing its legal cannabis market.\u00a0It\u00a0officially launched its online licensing system and is now accepting applications for commercial cannabis licenses for retailers, distributors, microbusinesses, testing laboratories and cannabis events.\u00a0 The online system can be used by\u00a0applicants to easily apply for a temporary and annual commercial cannabis license, submit payments and track the status of an existing application.<\/p>\n<p>All business owners applying for a medical and\/or adult use\u00a0cannabis business license must be registered and have an active account\u00a0on the licensing system. In addition, those individuals or companies that are considered &#8220;owners&#8221; of the applicant business\u00a0 will need to register as well in order to submit the necessary information that is required to be disclosed by each &#8220;owner.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The link to the online licensing system can be accessed here: <a href=\"https:\/\/aca5.accela.com\/bcc\/Welcome.aspx\">http:\/\/online.bcc.ca.gov\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cultivators\u00a0must apply for a cultivation license with\u00a0the California Department of Food and Agriculture&#8217;s CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing program.\u00a0CalCannabis expects to launch its online application process\u00a0 later this month.
