The <em>EEOC Litigation Review<\/em> \u2013 <em>2023<\/em> analyzes the EEOC\u2019s enforcement lawsuit filings in 2022 and the significant legal decisions and trends impacting EEOC litigation for 2023. We hope that employers will benefit from this deep dive into how the EEOC\u2019s priorities reveal themselves through litigation. The Review also contains a compilation of significant rulings decided in 2022 that impacted EEOC-initiated litigation and a list of the most significant settlements in EEOC cases in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Government enforcement litigation is similar in many respects to class action litigation. Lawsuits brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) typically present significant monetary exposure and involve numerous claimants.\u00a0 Most often the lawsuits pose reputational risks to companies.<\/p>\n<p>The EEOC is one of the most aggressive federal agencies in terms of prosecuting government enforcement litigation. This book focuses on EEOC litigation in 2022 and the types of legal issues spawned by that litigation.<\/p>\n<p>We hope readers will enjoy this new publication.
