{"id":113,"date":"2013-02-04T14:45:19","date_gmt":"2013-02-04T18:45:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/constructionlaw\/?p=113"},"modified":"2014-07-30T12:18:00","modified_gmt":"2014-07-30T16:18:00","slug":"design-build-update-new-york","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/constructionlaw\/2013\/02\/04\/design-build-update-new-york\/","title":{"rendered":"Design Build Update &#8211; New York"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last January we <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/constructionlaw\/2012\/01\/10\/design-build-project-delivery-in-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> on an expansion of public design build programs in New York as a result of legislation arising out of Governor Cuomo\u2019s budget for 2012. At that time, New York expanded the number of agencies that were permitted to utilize design build procurement from two to five. Now with the Governor\u2019s proposed 2013 Budget, the design build method will be made available to virtually all state entities, with the only exceptions being the New York City university and New York State university systems.<\/p>\n<p>Of perhaps even greater interest is the current proposed legislation\u2019s introduction of \u201cdesign build finance\u201d as an available capital procurement method.
