The bill will broaden the scope of Philadelphia\u2019s\u00a0<a title=\"Philadelphia Sick Leave Law on Promoting Healthy Families and Workplaces Goes into Effect\" href=\"https:\/\/www.duanemorris.com\/alerts\/philadelphia_sick_leave_law_on_promoting_healthy_families_workplaces_goes_into_effect_5586.html\">Promoting Healthy Families and Workplaces<\/a>\u00a0sick leave law by providing paid \u201cpublic health emergency leave\u201d to more people who work within the geographic boundaries of the city, including individuals workings for companies with 500 or more employees, independent contractors and \u201cgig economy\u201d workers.
