If any of the stories pique your curiosity, feel free to email us and we will be happy to share information on the applicable article so you can dive deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In no particular order, we saw the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Georgia<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 saw a $3.7 Billion-dollar data center proposed in Spalding County, Georgia;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Texas<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 saw a $1.5 Billion-dollar data center proposed in San Morcos, Texas;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mississippi\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 saw Elon Musk\u2019s XAI to invest over $20 Billion-dollars in a Southaven, Mississippi data center project;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Illinois<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 saw Hut 8 move to obtain zoning approvals on a $5 Billion-dollar data center in Logan, Illinois;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Europe<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 GTR obtained $2 Billion-dollars from KKR and Oak Hill Capital to expand their data center presence in Europe;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Capacity<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 estimates were issued showing data center capacity growing to over 200 Giga Watts by 2030, a massive increase;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ohio<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 saw a $1 Billion-dollar, 500,000 SF data center being proposed in Scioto County, Ohio;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pennsylvania<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 saw a $15 Billion-dollar, 16-building, 700-acre complex proposed in Carlisle, Pennsylvania;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Michigan<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 saw a $1 Billion-dollar data center proposed by Microsoft in Lowell Township, MI;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Google\u2019s parent company,\u00a0<strong>Alphabet<\/strong>, announced plans to acquire Intersect, a data center and energy infrastructure solutions company;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Capacity<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 data centers represented 40% of the PJM power capacity costs at the last PJM auction;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Washington, DC<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Bisnow is hosting their National Datacenter \u2013 Construction Design, and Development conference in Washington, DC on\u00a0<strong>February 18, 2026 \u2013 7:30 EST<\/strong>; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Iowa<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Meta announced a purchase of a 328- acre site in Davenport, Iowa that is likely to be the home of a large data center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Quantitative\/Qualitative Corner:<\/strong>&nbsp;This, friends, is like one week\u2019s worth of deals \u2013 yes, a fast moving, large dollars being discussed and spent type of hyper frenzied marketplace.
