The previous update was in February 2024 (see our <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/europeansanctionsenforcement\/2024\/02\/21\/switzerland-updated-enforcement-statistics-including-9-fines\/\">previous post<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com.tr\/en\/europe\/switzerland-opens-56-proceedings-over-violations-of-sanctions-against-russia\/3278070#\">reported new data<\/a> states that SECO has brought:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>56 administrative criminal proceedings (up from 47 in February);<\/li>\n<li>41 of which have been finalized (up from 29 in February);<\/li>\n<li>including 26 discontinuation orders (up from 20 in February);<\/li>\n<li>14 penalty notices (up from 9 in May when these were published on this blog <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/europeansanctionsenforcement\/2024\/05\/10\/switzerland-publishing-the-10-fines-for-breaching-sanctions-imposed-by-seco-part-1-cases-1-3\/\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/europeansanctionsenforcement\/2024\/05\/13\/switzerland-publishing-the-10-fines-for-breaching-sanctions-imposed-by-seco-part-2-cases-4-6\/\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/europeansanctionsenforcement\/2024\/05\/16\/switzerland-publishing-the-10-fines-for-breaching-sanctions-imposed-by-seco-part-3-cases-7-8\/\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/europeansanctionsenforcement\/2024\/05\/17\/switzerland-publishing-the-10-fines-for-breaching-sanctions-imposed-by-seco-part-4-cases-9-10\/\">here<\/a>); and<\/li>\n<li>1 penalty order (this is case 6 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.duanemorris.com\/europeansanctionsenforcement\/2024\/05\/13\/switzerland-publishing-the-10-fines-for-breaching-sanctions-imposed-by-seco-part-2-cases-4-6\/\">previously published on this blog here<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accordingly, SECO has started 9 new criminal administrative proceedings since February 2024, and imposed 5 new fines since May of this year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Switzerland&#8217;s SECO has updated its Russian and Belarusian sanctions enforcement statistics.
