The new law potentially subjects noncompliant employers to significant penalties and voids any provision in violation of the statute.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/leg.colorado.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2022a_1317_signed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HB 22-1317<\/a>, signed into law on June 8, 2022, amends Colorado\u2019s existing noncompetition statute, C.R.S. \u00a7 8-2-113, for agreements entered into or renewed on or after August 10, 2022.
