近期，新加坡律政部（MinLaw）组织的委员会发布了一份报告，提出一系列针对外国律所与本土律所合作的新规建议。该委员会由公共及私营部门代表、本土与外国律所资深律师共同组成。作为新加坡首家获批的国际联营律所——德茂欣律师事务所（Duane Morris & Selvam）的主席，余启贤（Leon Yee）律师也受邀加入了委员会。 本次新规旨在解决新加坡司法制度被滥用及本土大型律所人才流失的问题。然而，新举措在业界引发争议，有律师认为其可能削弱新加坡作为亚洲金融中心的开放形象。
